Car wash (세차)

I do wash my car by myself. Washing a car is such a delicate job. It took me around one half an hour. Why does it take so long? That is the story that I am going to tell you this time.

My car is the most precious thing among my property. My car is a small and inexpensive one. Its model is Verna made by Hyundai. Its engine capacity is just 1400cc. To me, however, it is my treasure.

I am not going to tell you the story about how I bought my car. To tell you the truth, I did not buy it. My father bought it to me. I will give this story anther time.

I heard that going through a automatic car wash would leave scratches to a car. Small rocks and dusts on brushes of a machine washer are the reasons to give scars to a car. I bought that and I have never let my car go through a automatic washing machine.

Fortunately, there is a DIY car wash near my place. I go there to wash my car. The DIY car wash has three slots to park and to wash a car. Each slot has a water gun and a stick brush with detergent. They are controlled by a vending machine. To use them, I need to put 500won coins to this vending machine. Then, I am able to fire a water from a water gun and make bubbles with a brush for a short time.

Just right after I got my car, I did not know how to wash a car. I just drove my car there with nothing. After spreading water on it with water gun and scrub it with a brush. Then, I cleaned up the bubbles on my car with a water gun. That was all that I thought. I did not think how I was able to dry my car. The car wash owner gave me a piece of clothes to dry my car. After finishing it, I found out that the brush was so dirty that it left stains on my car. I was not so satisfied with my first car wash.

After it, I realized that I need to learn how to wash my car from my father. My father is good at washing a car. He has his own procedure about how to wash a car. Thus, when I went to my parents', I learned car-washing lessons from him by washing his car with him.

The first thing I did was buying tools for washing a car. Basically, I require my own brush, basket, two types of detergent, wax, and two pieces of clothes. I need one type of detergent for a car and the other for wheel. One pieces of clothes for drying a car and the other for putting wax on a car.

Now, you can guess how I wash my car with those tools. First, I spread water on my car. Then, I clean my car by applying soapy water with brush. Then, after putting the wheel detergent on the wheels I clean up bubbles from a car. This is an easy part. Next, I have to dry a wet car with clothes. After drying it, I put wax on it. This is a hard part.

After finishing all those washing job, I am very happy to see my car shinning.
