I watched the movie called "The Actress" with my lovely wife.
I thought the movie was a documentary because their stories showing on the movie seemed about their real lives. The characters that they played were not created for the movie. They seemed like playing themselves. They used their professional name in the movie. They told us about their real problems. The one character called Ko, Hyeon-jeong talked about her worries on her recent divorce and her jealousy at her rival, Lee Young-ae ( I don't know she is her real rival or not. However, it looks like) However, I recognized it was not real.
Stories from difference to familiarity.
The first half of the movie was about their different lives as famous actresses. They are living very phony lives. Popular actresses, who are very busy, tried to break a promise that they made. When she did that, she was sort of hiding behind her manager. The manager usually said that her actress wanted to keep the promise, but it is the manager who wanted to cancel it because she worried about her health. They showed their phony smiles in front of their seniors, but they blamed on their backs.
In the middle of the movie, they heard a song that a young staff sang to his girl friend on the phone. They realized "LOVE." They realized that they made themselves lonely. Their busy lives, higher standards over normal people, and jealousy at other actresses made them lonely. The bottom line was that their lives were not so different from others. They were just girls who liked to chat and were stunned to cry. Also, they were warm-hearted.
